Pupil insurance is now overdue.  Thanks to those who have sent the money in.  It costs €5.30 per pupil. This is a ‘compulsory’ basis whereby all pupils are covered during school hours/school activities.

Please forward this to the school asap, if you have not already done so.

Nasal flu Vaccine Forms

Thank you for returning your forms, if you haven’t done so please do so, even if your child is not receiving the vaccine so we have a note of all families.

Covid is on the rise again and please keep your child/children at home if they are feeling unwell.  Keep the teacher informed if your child is unwell.

INTO – Industrial Action

The INTO (Irish National Teachers’ Organisation) recently balloted its members for industrial action up to and including strike action and the vote was overwhelmingly approved by members.  The INTO central Executive committee (CEC) has decided to issue a directive to members with effect from Monday, 5th October to cease co-operation with Croke Park Hours; and to refrain from attending staff meetings and formal parent/teacher meetings outside of school hours.  We have been notified that INTO members will participate in a work stoppage/strike action on Wednesday 14th October.  We are hoping that this work stoppage will not go ahead but if it does, the school will be closed on the formentioned  date.  You will be kept updated over the coming weeks.

American Folk Park Omagh

We are planning an educational trip to the American Folk Park on Friday 23rd October, when we will take park in an exhibition and workshop based on ‘Under the Hawthorn Tree’.  The junior room will take park in the exhibition and then spend time around the park.  We plan to leave school at 8.45am and return for 3.00pm approximately.  School uniform should be worn and everyone should have a packed lunch.
